Greetings, I am wish.
Since 2021, as a student of the School of Journalism at the Communication University of China, I have been dedicated to integrating the enthusiasm for social service, the theoretical knowledge of communication studies, and the practical production of new media, devoting myself to the cause of Marxism and socialism with Chinese characteristics.
During my undergraduate studies, I developed a keen interest in spatial sociology and rural cultural tourism communication, conducting corresponding social surveys and scientific research. I engaged in both quantitative and qualitative research paradigms, employing methods such as field research and in-depth interviews, as well as machine learning and time series analysis. Two related papers were included and presented at the 30th Annual Conference of the Center for Media Information and Communication.
In my new media practice, I have accumulated rich practical experience in empowering new media operations and content production using Python
.
Project Experience
Study on the Evolution of Gender and Economic Sentiment in Time Series [2024.6-2024.9]
The 30th AMIC Annual Conference
Conducted quantitative research, independently wrote papers, and presented findings. Focusing on the sentiment surrounding the “Fat Cat” incident on Baidu Tieba, I structured unstructured text data using machine learning and classified themes through cluster analysis. This study explored users’ attitudes towards gender and economic issues on a social platform dominated by male users. It revealed that while gender inequality exists due to male dominance on Tieba, it also fosters discussions on political and economic matters, providing empirical evidence and data references for guiding and intervening in online sentiment under the influence of social media.
Exploring the Empowerment of Rural Revitalization through Cultural Square in the Context of Cultural Tourism Communication [2022.6-2024.9]
The 30th AMIC Annual Conference
Conducted qualitative research, independently wrote papers, and presented findings. Studying rural cultural squares, I conducted extensive fieldwork in Feng Village in Guangxi over two years and engaged in in-depth interviews. The study revealed that the three major squares in the village provide windows for cultural and tourism communication. It also highlighted issues of power representation and the need to address them to better serve cultural communication. The paper emphasizes strategies focusing on memory empowerment, activity empowerment, and digital empowerment to enhance the role of cultural squares.
Research on the Overseas Dissemination of Chinese Cultural Memes [2024.6-2024.8]
School of Journalism, Communication University of China
Created meme expressions and videos, summarized dissemination strategies based on experimental experience, and provided recommendations for future research on deployment needs, content creation direction, and specific content.
Development of Video Batch Processing Software Based on FFmpeg and Python [2024.5-2024.6]
GitHub - wish2333/VideoExtractAndConcatContribute
Independently developed software integrating FFmpeg for enhanced processing capabilities and a Python+Qt interface for cross-platform usability, supporting high-performance video processing and a smooth user experience.
Work Experience
To date, I have interned at two companies.
At the first company (2023.1-present), which focuses on providing audio production services for murder mystery scripts, including voice dubbing, soundtracks, and post-production editing, I served as the head of the post-production department. My responsibilities included participating in audio and video production, script proofreading, and studio platform account promotion. Additionally, I was responsible for drafting workflow whitepapers for the company’s post-production department.
At the second company (2023.12-2024.8), dedicated to providing teaching and consulting services for students with needs such as preparing for exams or studying abroad, I interned in the sales department. I provided guidance for video operations through data analysis, improved content production efficiency through programming techniques, and developed editing efficiency software using Python and FFmpeg to optimize production processes, doubling video output within three months. I also utilized HTML, CSS, and Linux server management to maintain and manage the website, offering a window for users to learn about the business. Furthermore, I implemented an AI-based intelligent customer service solution to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance user interaction quality.
